Hi Jeff; Taking the tank off and on is really easy! Just two bolts at the the small end after you take the seat off. Disconnect all gas hoses, seedometer cable, pull the tank back toward the seat, shove a little to the left, and it's off! Lift it from the front and disconnect electric wiring. By the way, how much does a new tank cost these days? Frank M.
